At the end of each school year, students throw out their broken and used crayons. Those crayons end up in a landfill and contribute to the 4 pounds of garbage that each person produces daily. This Earth Day, students in Class 4-4 at Bretton Woods Elementary School learned how to reuse old and broken crayons by melting them together to make new crayons. Teaching students about reusing and recycling is an important life skill to create responsible citizens that take care of our planet.
